National CPD Accreditation Conferences

5th National Accreditation Conference, October 7 & 8 in Ottawa, Ontario

This annual, invitation-only conference is co-hosted by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).

Participation in this event is limited to identified staff from university continuing medical education (CME)/continuing professional development (CPD) offices, CFPC provincial Chapters, national specialty societies, accredited simulation programs, the Royal College’s CPD Accreditation Committee members, CFPC’s National CPD Committee members, MAINPRO® reviewers, the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), and provincial medical regulatory authorities.

Fourth National CPD Accreditation Conference objectives:

1. Describe standards and processes for the accreditation of CPD programs and providers.
2. Apply accreditation standards, policies, and processes to their own CPD program.
3. Promote innovations and trends in the field of CPD.
