Family Medicine Innovations in Research and Education Day
The Family Medicine Innovations in Research and Education Day, hosted by the CFPC’s Sections of Teachers and Researchers, is a full-day program taking place November 9th as part of Family Medicine Forum. The dedicated program is committed to supporting the highest quality family medicine research and education. Registration for this day enables you to attend the education workshops and research presentations.
New this year is the Dr Ian McWhinney Keynote Address, featuring keynote speakers Olympic gold medallist Mark Tewksbury and Olympic champion coach Debbie Muir. They will discuss leadership and success, and offer practical tools for understanding how empowering beliefs can improve your performance as a coach and mentor in your own workplace or practice. Their keynote address will inspire both researchers and teachers alike, and will allow for reflection on our roles as coach and mentor from a teaching and research perspective.
Researchers will provide free-standing oral presentations of new research as well as poster presentations; the 2016 research awards recipients are among the list of distinguished presenters. Faculty development sessions will feature both novice and advanced concepts for clinical preceptors, teachers outside the clinical setting, and educational leaders. Breakfast, breaks, and lunch are included with your registration fee. There will also be ample opportunity to network with your colleagues.
