Fellowship in The College of Family Physicians of Canada

CFPC Convocation Ceremony

Fellowship in The College of Family Physicians of Canada (FCFP) is an honour which the CFPC confers upon Certificant members in good standing who have maintained their Certification for a minimum of 10 consecutive years and have included 25 Mainpro-C activities for two consecutive five-year cycles, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to continuing professional development and lifelong learning.

Members will receive their Fellowship at the CFPC’s Convocation and Awards Ceremony held during Family Medicine Forum (FMF) 2013 in Vancouver, BC, November 7 to 9, 2013. Starting in July, invitations will be sent to those eligible to receive Fellowship in 2013.

Upon receiving this honour, members will be entitled to append the designation FCFP (Fellow of The College of Family Physicians of Canada) to their name following the Convocation and Awards Ceremony. Once conferred, Fellows must maintain this special designation by continuing to meet MAINPRO® requirements, including reporting a minimum of 25 Mainpro-C credits in every five-year Mainpro cycle.
